Hullo! My name is Ali. I am a magic maker and run my own graphic design business, as well as being a semi-professional actress, cosplayer, contortionist, and disability advocate.I have a CRJS BA (foc. ADA law) and an MBA (foc. finance/entrepreneurship), but I have a wide variety of hobbies and interests (I'm a do-everything-I'm-good-at kinda girlie). I am an Empyrean, How to Train Your Dragon, Disney, and Marvel nerd through and through, though I enjoy any type of fantasy or dystopia, especially with dragons. I enjoy playing with animals, spending time with my amazing husband, volunteering, visiting theme parks, ice skating, hiking, horseback riding, and whitewater rafting.I am married to a wonderful, supportive guy - Erik - who I love very much, and together we are loved by a ginger kitty, Zoloft, and an English golden retriever, Riley, my at-home service dog.As I briefly mentioned above, I am a cast member at the Happiest Place on Earth operating attractions! I’m also waiting to hear back from Universal to become a team member. As for the graphic design: I've been doing graphic + web design as a side job since 2007 (7th grade) when I taught myself Photoshop and multiple coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and more). I prefer to do simplistic and typography designs, however, I have a diverse portfolio ranging from photo manipulations and intricate pixel designs, to vectorized images and logos! My favourite thing to do is code websites "by hand"; sadly, many hosting sites no longer allow this.Another big part of my life is that I am multiply disabled, autistic, and 2E. My overarching disabilities are Classical Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (cEDS-II), a semi-rare connective tissue disorder, and Autism (Level 2). I am a part-time ambulatory wheelchair due to the degenerative, but variable nature of my disabilities (I am able to do certain things some days but not others). I am a huge advocate for accessibility and inclusion; however, I have stepped back significantly from disability communities due to prolonged, targeted harassment and bullying. With that said, I have become an active member of the ENABLED-FL team and my work location's Diversity & Inclusion team with a focus in disability education. My hope to one day own a non-profit training service dogs to place them with lower-income individuals or some other business that can help disabled, especially autistic, adults find meaningful work.
